Creative Commons

What is the Creative Commons you ask? Well I’m glad you asked! The Creative Commons is a website and non-profit organization dedicated to giving people and organizations the ability to legally use “creative and academic works”. The way I look at Creative Commons has a “for the people, by the people” mission that helps to make photos, videos, sound bytes and other works accessible and usable for all while still allowing the creators to get credit where credit is due.

Universal Design

So you want to know what Universal Design is? You are hitting it out of the park today! I’ll be more than happy to explain it to you. Initially coined by the architect Ronald L. Mace, Universal Design is a design concept that factors in usability for all (or for the maximum percentage of users). Universal Design takes into account the way users interact with an environment or a product and accounts for accessibility (by all or by the masses).
